We are now recruiting for two Wildlife Officers to deliver the Wildlife Officer programme in the North Sea, on board the DFDS King Seaways passenger ferry sailing from North Shields (UK) to Ijmuiden (Netherlands).
Spring marks the start of the ORCA Wildlife Officer season and every year our Wildlife Officers board ferries around the UK to live and work on board for up to six months of the year.
It’s been a busy first month for our Wildlife Officer’s on board Brittany Ferries Pont-Aven with the team seeing 1153 animals including the elusive Cuvier’s beaked whale and over 600 common dolphins.
Another exciting week at sea for our army of ORCA Wildlife Officers, with a frenzy of cetacean sightings across the North Sea, Bay of Biscay and Hebrides.
