Sea Safari dates announced for 2018

19th Oct 2017

A Great Shearwater released during one of our September Sea Safari trips

ORCA & Brittany Ferries are delighted to announce that the 2018 dates for our popular Sea Safari dates have been released for general sale.

The whale watching voyages, which run from Portsmouth to Santander to Plymouth, take place on board the Brittany Ferries flagship Pont-Aven between June and September 2018.

Due to high demand, there will be seven trips running next year including two in August, with demand expected to be higher than ever.

ORCA are also delighted that wildlife presenter and ORCA patron Nigel Marven has agreed to join us for two crossings once again next year, with the trips from 7th to 9th August and 18th to 20th September seeing the TV star part of the team.

Trips start from £210 per person, with 2018's price included a coach transfer back to Portsmouth free of charge for the first time. There are also twin and single occupancy cabins available.

2017 had some of the most memorable crossings ever, with the July and August trips particular exciting for the huge number of different cetacean species. We also had an exciting rescue of a Great Shearwater during one of our September crossings, with the bird battered by bad weather being released by one of our guides.

To book, visit our dedicated Sea Safari page or head over to the Brittany Ferries website, Demand is expected to be high, particularly for the summer trips, so we encourage passengers to book as soon as possible.
