Over £750 raised in London to Brighton bike ride

14th Sep 2015

On a sunny September Sunday morning, Lucy and I embarked upon our ORCA Challenge!  An incredible mission of cycling all the way from London to Brighton, with the overall aim of raising money for ORCA.

It is fair to say that we were slightly apprehensive about the 56 mile cycle ride, especially as we had been warned about the incredibly steep hills en-route.  We were overwhelmed by the amount of support and donations, which most certainly kept our little legs peddling.  So much so that we made it up to the top of Ditching Beacon without stopping!!  Even the keenest of cyclist struggle to get to the top! The satisfaction at the top, admiring the view all the way to the seaside was just amazing.

The sense of achievement cycling across the finish line along the Brighton Seafront, 5 hours and 24 minutes later was incredible.

Thank you so much to everyone that donated, we managed to raise over £761 for ORCA!

There is still time to donate and support the work of ORCA. Please visit our Just Giving page
