1st Mar 2017

Engaging with the public at an ORCA Shorewatch as a part of the Your Seas -  People & Port project

ORCA are today joining a group of key players from government, the charity sector and industry at an open discussion hosted by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

The event, titled "The Ocean Connects Us", is taking place at Trinity Buoy Wharf and aims to stimulate discussion and collaboration to try and address critical threats to marine ecosystems, as well engaging the public in protecting the oceans.

During the session participants will join open discussions about the role different stakeholders have to play in ensuring the oceans are protected moving forward, and in particular ORCA will be contributing to discussions around critical issues relating to cetacean conservation in the UK & Europe.

The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is one of the largest philanthropic organisations in the world, and alongside environmental work they also support projects in the arts, social innovation and aging population.
