Looking back on another superb Sea Safari season
31st Oct 2017
2017 proved to be yet another fantastic year for ORCA's ever-popular Sea Safari trips, with six memorable trips and thousands of animals seen.
All in all, almost 2400 animals were spotted, with eleven confirmed species of cetacean and a couple of incredibly memorable encounters even by ORCA's high standards!
Particular highlights came from encounters with killer whales on the Thursday morning of the July trip, an unforgettable August trip with Nigel Marven that saw almost 1000 animals, and the once-in-a-lifetime release of a Great Shearwater on our mid-September trip.
Even better, our dates for 2018 are now confirmed with an additional trip scheduled to meet the huge demand. You can find out more and book on to next year's dates here.
In the meantime, why not whet your appetite reading back over the trip reports for 2017:
A huge thank you to all of our amazing guides for their hard work yet again this year, as well as to our patron Nigel Marven for joining two trips this year. And of course, a massive thank you to all of our 2017 passengers - you make these trips absolutely incredible and we hope to see you all again next year!
