Applications for 2018 Wildlife Officers now open!
8th Nov 2017
- Could this be you? Become a Wildlife Officer with ORCA!
ORCA are looking for six enthusiastic, passionate Wildlife Officers, who are driven by delivering excellent customer service, to develop and deliver our successful Wildlife Officer programme in the North-East Atlantic in 2018.
The Wildlife Officer programme inspires all Brittany Ferries passengers about the incredible wildlife (mainly whales and dolphins) around them on their voyage across the Bay of Biscay and English Channel. The Wildlife Officer programme consists of interactive presentations, children’s activities, deck watches (whilst collecting vital data on any wildlife encountered) and primarily delivering a fantastic passenger experience, as well as recruiting members and encouraging donations.
The Brittany Ferries vessels that sail to Santander and Bilbao cross the Bay of Biscay - one of the best places in the world to see a diverse range of different whale and dolphin species, as well as seabirds, sharks, fish and seals.
