REGIONAL FUNDRAISING COORDINATORSORCA has vacancies for regional fund-raising coordinators for south-east England, South-west England and North-east England. The positions are home-based, part time and voluntary. Are you interested in helping to raise funds to support the charity’s important work? If you like working with people, socialising, have experience or skill in fund-raising and would like to help us please contact us. This post inevitably overlaps with the role of Regional Events Coordinator. You may feel that you can take on both roles. If not, you will need to work closely with the Events Coordinator in your area. Regional coordinators would be responsible directly to our National Events Coordinator and would be expected to liaise with small groups of local volunteers, offer support and advice and wherever possible attend these local events and talks. BEAKED WHALE RESOURCE WEB DEVELOPER ORCA requires somebody with web development skills to improve upon and update the current website. If you have the appropriate skills, and are passionate to develop a very important website, please contact us. BEAKED WHALE RESOURCE NEWS EDITOR This is an exciting opportunity to promote one of ORCAs biggest projects. Your job will be to source news, and stories from researchers and whale watchers, and other information on beaked whales for the site. The site will need to be updated at least weekly with the information that you provide. Ability to supply information direct to the website in html format is considered an advantage. BEAKED WHALE RESOURCE PUBLICITY OFFICER This is an exciting opportunity to promote the importance of the BWR to the world! Focusing initially on building relationships / partnerships with beaked whale researchers and whale watching companies that sight beaked whales, your job will be to raise awareness and encourage involvement in this resource. You will need to liaise with the National Press Officer as news-worthy stories come to light. GRAPHIC DESIGNERS ORCA frequently needs assistance with publication and printing work and would like to build up a small database of willing graphic designers available to assist with such projects as and when. If you think you can help, please let us know. PROFESSIONALS We are looking for solicitors and accountants that have some free time to be able to assist the charity as and when required.
