It’s back! Returning for its fourth year the ORCA team are looking forward to seeing your photographs of whales, dolphins and porpoises in the wild.

This year we have two photo categories: The State of European Cetaceans and Threats to Marine Wildlife.

The State of European Cetaceans

We would like photos of any whale, dolphin or porpoise species that you have seen and photographed in Europe. There is no restriction on species, but it must be a cetacean in the wild and in European waters. Previous winners have produced stunning photographs and we expect this category to be particularly competitive!

Threats to Marine Wildlife

Cetaceans and other marine life is falling victim every day to a huge range of threats, from microplastics, to entanglement in fishing gear and the effects of sonar.

We would like you to send in pictures that best capture the threats facing marine mammals and the other diverse creatures that live in waters around the world. This can be of any threat that is causing an impact on marine environments, and is not limited to any geographical area - we will accept photos from all parts of the world in this category.
