All The Fun Of The Fair - ORCA at the BBWF!
Birdfair 2007

What’s BBWF? It’s the British Birdwatching Fair www.birdfair.org.uk of course, the annual 3-day wildlife extravaganza at Rutland Water, which this year is from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th August 2007. If you’ve been before you’ll know what a terrific event it is – if you haven’t then take it from us then, wherever you live, it’s really worth the effort to go. Encompassing more than just birds, there’ll be stands, lectures and events about the whole world of wildlife. In fact, it’s the biggest event of its kind anywhere in the World!

Of course, there’s a celebrity-packed programme, but best of all you’ll find us – the ORCA team - in our usual, award winning Stand 32, Marquee 1. We really enjoy the Bird Fair and love the opportunity to catch up with as many of you as possible – please come along and join us for a chat on the stand during the show if you are planning to attend.

And there’s more. Our very own Ian Rowlands will be giving a talk in Lecture Marquee Two on Saturday 18th August at 1.45pm. Entitled ‘What Whale is That?’ it tells of how to identify our whales and dolphins, plus how, with ORCA, you can get out and survey whales in the North Sea and the Bay of Biscay.

On Sunday 19th August we will also have our own book signing. ORCA Project Development Officer Dylan Walker will be signing his new book, Whales and Dolphins of the North American Pacific – which will be fresh off the press just in time for the Birdfair.

So that’s Marquee One, Stand 32…… see you there.
