Brittany Ferries is the market leader for both passengers and freight shipping in the Western Channel, and operates a fleet of high quality ferries and cruise-ferries connecting the UK, France, Spain and Ireland.
Operating from Portsmouth, Poole and Plymouth, their vessels visit destinations such as Caen, Santander, Roscoff and Cork, and each year 2.7 million passengers take the opportunity to travel in style.
Brittany Ferries and ORCA have been working in partnership for well over a quarter of century conducting surveys in the English Channel and Bay of Biscay, and are one of the most important supporters of ORCA’s work.
As well as access to five of the Brittany Ferries fleet for surveying, we are also given an area in Brittany Ferries’ Portsmouth office as a base for our team.
We are also working together on our Sea Safari trips, unforgettable whale watching experiences aboard Pont-Aven heading from Portsmouth to Santander each summer. These trips are a huge success and continue to go from strength to strength.
On top of this range of exciting activities, two Brittany Ferries ships play host to our Wildlife Officers, giving passengers presentations and information of the range of marine wildlife in UK & European waters.
